# CANON-COMB — the comb, the frame, the seal

The estate's own geometry, said once. Every surface that draws blocks, ledgers,
or finality speaks this vocabulary — the live specimen is
[surfaces/comb.html](../surfaces/comb.html), and this page is its law.

## The four words

**⬡ CELL = block.** One cell of the comb is one block of the chain. A cell has
**six neighbours** — that is what being a cell means here.

**CAPPED = final.** A capped cell carries a wax seal: **finality that is
VISIBLE.** You do not read a document to learn a cell is final; you look at it.

**COMB = the ledger.** The comb is the ledger itself — cells laid six-neighbour
tight, nectar becoming honey becoming wax.

**FRAME = 7,776 cells = 6⁵.** Six neighbours, five layers — **the DAO cap and
the geometry are the same fact.** The DAO caps at 7,776 soULspiRiTs because a
frame holds 6⁵ cells; one number, one shape.

## The states

**nectar → honey → capped.** One direction. A cell begins translucent with
nectar, ripens to amber honey, and is sealed gold with the cell glyph ⬡.
CAPPED is final — the arrow does not run backwards.

## The network

**bSAFE — Secure Access For Everyone.** The network the comb lives on.

## The glyph

**⬡ is the cell glyph.** A hexagon, open: the cell drawn as a word.

## The drawing laws (the explorer lives by these)

- **ONE RENDERER FOR EVERY ZOOM.** Self-similar: combs of combs out, one cell
  → its receipts in. The same function draws a cell, the comb it belongs to,
  and the comb inside it. Zoom out forever: this comb is one cell in a larger
  comb. Zoom in forever: one cell opens into its receipts.
- **A frame draws as five nested rings of six.** Sixfold ring inside sixfold
  ring, five deep — the emblem of 6⁵.
- **LOD law: exact cells zoomed in, statistical heat zoomed out.** When a cell
  is big enough to see, it is drawn exactly — its own state, its own seal.
  When it is too small to see, it is never faked: the heat that stands for it
  is the measured average of the receipts inside it.

**this is topology and vocabulary, NEVER a security claim.**

The comb says what things are CALLED and how they DRAW. It does not say the
network is secure, that finality is guaranteed, or that a seal proves
authenticity. bSAFE's security properties live in bSAFE's own receipts, not in
a metaphor.
